In 2025, I participated in the ERASMUS+ KA131 staff training mobility program and received training on archaeogeophysical methods from Prof. Rita Deiana at the University of Padua. This was a valuable opportunity to learn more about the application of geophysics in archaeology.
The training focused on Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and its use in the field. Prof. Deiana shared her expertise in data acquisition, processing, and interpretation for archaeological investigations. We discussed case studies and data from her previous projects, which helped me understand the challenges and potential of archaeogeophysical surveys.
Our discussions included survey design, data processing techniques, and integrating GPR data with other archaeological information. This exchange of ideas provided a new perspective on using geophysics in archaeological research.
The training at the University of Padua improved my skills in archaeogeophysics and provided opportunities to connect with other researchers. I am grateful for the knowledge I gained from Prof. Deiana and plan to use it in my future work.
